What is a Deactivated Referral?

Referrals can be deactivated in three different ways:

  1. Once a referral is active, the receiving side must provide a status update within the first seven days of the referral becoming active. If they fail to do so the referral will be deactivated. The receiving side will be sent multiple in-platform and email notifications alerting them to this mandatory status update.
  2. The receiving side is required to provide a status update on the referral every 30 days. If they fail to do so the referral will be flagged as “Status past due” and they will continue to be notified that a status update is due every month for a period of 24months. After 24 months if there is still no update, the platform will automatically deactivate the referral.
  3. The receiving side can deactivate a referral if there is no longer a reason to keep it active i.e. the referral is no longer progressing. This will alert the sending side that the referral is no longer active. If you deactivate a referral you must provide a reason for deactivation from the dropdown menu of reasons.
