What is the Referral Fee?

The Referral Fee is the agreed percentage of the Receiving Side's commission that Sending Side (the side that creates the referral) will earn if the referral is successful.

For example, if the Sending Side refers a client and the Receiving Side agrees to pay 25%* referral fee, and the client then buys a property for $1,000,000 the referral is calculated as follows:

Receiving Side commission = 3%** = $30,000

Referral fee earned by the Sending Side = 25% of the Receiving Side's commission

So,

25% of $30,000 = $7,500 = Referral Fee

So the Relocation Director of the Receiving Side must arrange with the Relocation Director of the Sending Side for the payment of $7,500 to the Sending Side.

Note, if there is a currency exchange to be calculated e.g. in the case of an international referral where one side is using one currency, and the other side is using another currency, then the platform calculates the referral fee based on the average exchange rate for the day that the transaction is recorded in the platform.

*The referral fee percentage may vary as it will depend on what is agreed between the two referral parties prior to signing the agreement within the platform.

**The commission percentage may vary as this will depend on what the Receiving Side agrees with the buyer /seller.
